Are You Leaving Offerings?

The LWA (voodoo saints) attend and listen to the petitions of each and every one of your altar sessions.  They are benevolent spirits who truly want to help you to achieve your goals and they do, although they do so in the timeframe they know will be most beneficial to you and the future fulfillment of your desire (they are all knowing; they see and know more of what is going on than we do).  They enjoy receiving offerings and it never hurts to grease the wheels so, as often as you can, leave them offerings, always thanking them for their help in the process.  In my earlier blog posts I’ve listed what each LWA respectfully enjoys as offerings.  Offerings are the perfect way to honor the LWA and thank them for helping you to achieve what you so desire.  In New Orleans Voodoo, offerings consist of different foods, trinkets, toys, alcohol and even inexpensive jewelry.  I actually found the dollar store to have most of what I needed to offer to the LWA so it doesn’t have to be an expensive effort.  It is important though so don’t forget to leave them whenever you can.  It can make a big difference in how your case progresses.  If you have any questions whatsoever, don’t hesitate to contact me.
