Your Relationship With the LWA

Who are the LWA?  The LWA are the revered spirits/saints of New Orleans Voodoo and Haitian Voodoo.  They are synchronized with the saints of Catholicism.  In whatever it is you are seeking to accomplish with your spell work, you will be petitioning them for their help.  There are specific LWA dedicated to specific requests. There are also specific days to petition them respectively, specific colors to use and specific offerings to leave (which I’ve listed in earlier posts).  They see all and they know all and want to help you but please bear in mind that they help you in the timeframe they know to be best for your situation.  In other words, let’s say you are vying for the love and commitment of that one very special person.  Granted, you want to have the relationship manifest as soon as is humanly possible but you don't always get to see what's going on behind the scenes of your spell work.  The LWA see all and if they see that it is not best accomplished quite as quickly as you would prefer, they will continue to do your bidding but will have it manifest in the time frame they deem best.  Often times relationships that begin too quickly end too quickly as well and that’s not what you want is it?  Trust the LWA, have an unwavering faith in what they can and will do for you, in time.  You’re putting your requests in their hands so let them do what they do best and that is to make it happen.  The LWA require a mutual relationship with the worshipper. The LWA can be best served by wearing clothes of the LWA’s colors, petitioning on their respective, designated days and by making offerings of preferred foods (which I’ve listed in my prior posts).  Developing a close and faithful relationship with the LWA will greatly improve the progress of whatever it is that you are petitioning them for so make it a practice to trust and honor them each and every day.
